About: Obi took over Bread & Butter Lounge to drop his new single: a full evening of DJ sets, games and a live performance, built as the first event under the LightWave banner.
Result: The first LightWave-run event, and a template for pairing a music release with a hosted night out, from the interview segment to the disposable-camera photos guests took home.
How it went
Doors opened at 7pm with RUSH:HOUR on the decks, a music trivia round, and the first 30 guests through the door getting free slushies. The night's centrepiece was a live interview with Kyra Flame on the making of the single, followed by Obi performing it live with a full band. Four signature cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were on the menu, and disposable cameras were passed around the room so guests could shoot their own night.
